2026 Award Categories

1) Promoter
The promoter is Grow It Local Pty Ltd (ABN: 20 671 030 532) of Level 3 85 William St Darlinghurst NSW 2010  (“Promoter”, “GrowItLocal”, “we”, “us”, “our”).
2) Acceptance of Terms
By entering this competition, you agree to these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”). Entries that do not comply with these Terms may be deemed invalid.
3) Competition Period
Entries open 12:00am AEDT Monday 19 January 2026 and close 11:59pm AEDT Sunday 15 February 2026 (“Competition Period”).
Winners will be announced from Thursday 26 February 2026 to Tuesday 3 March 2026.
4) Eligibility
Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.
Employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and agencies associated with the competition are ineligible.
“Immediate family” means spouse, de facto spouse, parent, child, sibling, or household member.
5) Entry is Free
Entry is free. No purchase is necessary to enter.
6) How to Enter (Instagram / TikTok / Facebook)
To enter, during the Competition Period you must:
a) Create an original photo or video post that fits one (1) category listed in clause 7; and
b) Post it on Instagram OR TikTok OR Facebook from an account you control; and
c) Include the hashtag #GrowItLocalAwards2026 and tag/mention the Promoter’s official account(s): @growitlocal; and
d) Keep your post set to public until at least Tuesday 3 March 2026 so it can be viewed for judging and winner verification.
7) Categories & Prizes (6)
There are six (6) categories and six (6) prizes, with one winner per category.

Why I Love My Patch Award: The winner of this category will receive an incredible prize pack from our friends at Seasol and Yates, valued at $200 AUD.
Homegrown Harvest Award: The winner of this category will receive an incredible prize pack from our friends at Seasol and Yates, valued at $200 AUD.
Best Chicken Name Award: The winner of this category will receive an incredible prize pack from our friends at Richgro and Seasol, valued at $200 AUD.
Local Grower Award: The winner of this category will receive a Grow It Local Rainbow Range bundle valued at $90 AUD.  
Patch to Plate Award: The winner of this category will receive an incredible prize pack from our friends at Seasol and Le Creuset, valued at $1206 AUD. 
Wonkiest Vegetable Award: The winner of this category will receive an incredible prize pack from our friends at Seasol and Richgro, valued at $200 AUD.
Total prize pool value: $2096 AUD.
8 ) Entry Limits
You can enter as many entries per category as long as the photo or video content is unique and not the same each time.
Submitting the same content to multiple platforms does not create multiple entries unless clearly entered as separate entries for different categories
9) Entry Content Rules
Each entry must:
a) Be your original work;
b) Not infringe any third party rights (copyright, trade marks, privacy, etc.);
c) Not be offensive, unlawful, defamatory, misleading, or inappropriate;
d) Not depict dangerous or unsafe activity; and
e) Comply with the rules/policies of the platform used to enter.
If your entry features another person (or someone’s private property), you must have their permission to appear in the content and to grant the rights in clause 13.
10) Judging (Game of Skill)
This is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining winners.
All valid entries will be judged by a panel appointed by the Promoter.
Entries will be judged using these criteria (total 100 points):
Creativity & originality (40)
Relevance to the category/theme (40)
Quality of execution/storytelling (20)
Judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
11) Winner Notification & Announcement
Winners will be contacted via direct message on the relevant platform and/or via email (if provided) during the announcement period (26 Feb–3 Mar 2026).
The Promoter may publish winners’ names/handles and winning entries on Grow It Local’s website and social channels.
12) Claiming Prizes
Winners must respond within 7 days of notification and provide information reasonably required to verify eligibility and deliver the prize (e.g., full name and Australian postal address).
If a winner does not respond in time, cannot be contacted, or is deemed ineligible, the Promoter may award the prize to the next best entry in that category (as determined by the judges).
13) Rights in Entries (Permission for GrowItLocal to Use Posts)
By entering, you:
a) Retain ownership of your entry content; and
b) Grant the Promoter a worldwide, perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, irrevocable licence to use, reproduce, publish, communicate, adapt, edit, crop and otherwise exploit the entry (in whole or part) for the Promoter’s marketing and promotional purposes, including across the Promoter’s websites, email marketing, digital advertising, and social/digital channels; and
c) Consent to the Promoter using your name, social handle, likeness and/or voice (if included) for those purposes without further compensation; and
d) Where permitted by law, consent to acts that might otherwise infringe your moral rights (such as editing/cropping/adding branding).
The Promoter may (but is not obliged to) credit entrants.
14) Entrant Warranties
You warrant that:
a) You have the right to grant the licence in clause 13;
b) Your entry does not infringe third-party rights; and
c) You have obtained all necessary permissions from anyone featured in your entry.
15) Disqualification
The Promoter may disqualify any entrant who:
a) Submits an entry not in accordance with these Terms;
b) Tampers with the entry process;
c) Uses automated/fraudulent means; or
d) Engages in conduct that jeopardises the fair conduct of the competition.
16) Technical Issues
The Promoter is not responsible for technical issues, platform outages, lost/late entries, or entries not received due to reasons outside the Promoter’s control.
17) Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded. AustLII+1
18) Permits (only if chance is introduced)
This competition is intended to be judged as a game of skill. If the Promoter changes the mechanics so that any element of chance is introduced (e.g., random draw), permit requirements may apply in some jurisdictions (including NSW and the ACT) depending on the prize pool and structure. 19) Privacy
The Promoter collects personal information to run the competition (including contacting winners and prize delivery). Personal information will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy: https://growitlocal.com/privacy-policy.
20) Changes or Cancellation
If the competition cannot run as planned due to tampering, technical failures, platform changes, or events outside the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may modify, suspend, terminate, or cancel the competition to the extent permitted by law.
21) Platform Disclaimers (Meta / TikTok)
This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Meta (Facebook/Instagram) or TikTok.

22) Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
