Costa Georgiadis
Costa Georgiadis is a beloved landscape architect, environmental educator, and the energetic host of ABC’s Gardening Australia. As Grow It Local’s national patron and spiritual leader, Costa champions the power of gardening to transform people, places, and communities. With his boundless enthusiasm, he encourages growers of all ages to connect with nature, build community, and cultivate positive change, one garden at a time.
Sahar El-Shiekh
Sahar El-Shiekh is a passionate food grower, educator, and urban agriculture advocate dedicated to empowering people to grow their own food, no matter their space, background, or experience. Through her workshops, community projects, and storytelling, Sahar brings a fresh, inclusive, and joyful approach to gardening. As a presenter with Grow It Local, she shares practical skills, cultural perspectives on food and growing, and a belief that gardens are powerful places for connection, resilience, and belonging.
Paul West
Paul West is a gardener, cook, and passionate advocate for growing and sharing good food. Best known as the host of River Cottage Australia, Paul brings an infectious enthusiasm for backyard produce and community resilience. As a co-founder of Grow It Local, he inspires people of all skill levels to get their hands dirty, grow what they can, and enjoy the simple joy of homegrown harvests. Paul’s down-to-earth teaching style makes gardening accessible, fun, and achievable for everyone.
