How often will I receive seeds?
You receive one Grow It Local Seed Service Package each season — so one package containing three seed varieties, delivered every three months. These seed combinations include ideas for a delicious meal you can make from your patch at the end of the growing season.
As part of your subscription, you also receive exclusive instructional videos and how-to-grow content to support your grow-along experience, access to our in-house horticultural experts plus invitations to attend live monthly, digital workshops hosted by Paul West.
Are the seeds suitable for my climate?
Yes! Our head gardener Paul West (River Cottage Australia), curates the seed selections each season, choosing heirloom varieties that are suitable for growing in as many different Australian climates as possible.
Are the seeds heirloom or organic and Australian grown?
Yes, we are working with an Australian seed supplier to provide open-pollinated, heirloom seeds.
Can you post seeds to me in Western Australia or Tasmania?
Yes, Seed Service packages can be delivered to both WA and TAS. Let’s grow together!
I’m a beginner gardener — is the Seed Service suitable for me?
Absolutely. We’re on a mission to educate, support and inspire more Australian’s to grow, share and eat locally grown foods. Ultimately we want to grow more growers! So if you’re interested in learning how to grow from seed in a fully supported patch-to-plate way, then the Seed Service is for you. No prior gardening experience is required.
Oh, and did we mention that you’ll also have access to our in-house ‘Ask An Expert’ service, to get advice and help you overcome any challenges or problems in your patch? It’s all part of and included in a Grow It Local + subscription for $8/month.
