Returns & Refunds Policy

Our Commitment

At Grow it Local, we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you’re not happy with your order, we’re here to help.

Return Period

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to return eligible items for a refund or exchange.

Eligibility for Returns

To be eligible for a return, items must:

  • Be in their original condition and packaging
  • Be unused and undamaged
  • Include all original tags and labels
  • Be accompanied by proof of purchase (order confirmation or receipt)

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Perishable goods (fresh plants, seeds with broken seals)
  • Items marked as final sale or clearance
  • Gift cards
  • Custom or personalized items

How to Initiate a Return

To start a return:

  1. Contact us at [email protected] within 30 days of delivery
  2. Provide your order number and reason for return
  3. We’ll provide you with return instructions and, if applicable, a return shipping label

Return Shipping

Standard Returns: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the item is defective or we made an error with your order.

Defective or Incorrect Items: If you received a defective or incorrect item, we will cover all return shipping costs. Please contact us immediately with photos of the issue.

Refund Processing

Once we receive and inspect your returned item:

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days
  • Refunds will be issued to your original payment method
  • You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed
  • Please allow 5-10 additional business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your financial institution

Exchange Policy

We’re happy to exchange items of equal or lesser value. If you’d like to exchange an item for a different size, color, or product, please follow the return process and place a new order for the desired item.

Damaged or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged or defective:

  1. Contact us within 7 days of delivery
  2. Provide photos of the damage
  3. We’ll arrange for a replacement or full refund at no cost to you

Cancellations

You may cancel your order before it ships by contacting us immediately. Once an order has shipped, our standard return policy applies.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund within the timeframe specified:

  1. Check your bank account again
  2. Contact your credit card company (processing may take time)
  3. Contact your bank (processing delays may occur)
  4. If you’ve done all of this and still haven’t received your refund, please contact us at [insert email]

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
