Description
Milk kefir is a fermented drink full of probiotics with a similar taste to yoghurt. When the milk thickens it can be strained to make a soft fermented cheese with whey as a byproduct. The grains can be used repeatedly and will continue to multiply. I can demonstrate how to make both the milk and the cheese products. A heaped tablespoon of grains cost $10.
