As part of the Nature Festival South Australia, Gerry Butler will give a talk on local butterflies and their host plants. Then, with artist Rosina Possingham, set you on a little Virtual Reality (VR) adventure.
It is the story of the Chequered Copper butterfly, whose caterpillars are herded by ants to their host plant food and then into the ant nest to shelter from predators… The adult butterfly emerges from the chrysalis in the ant nest and crawls up the ant-hole to fly away and find a mate… AMAZING insects at work together!
This story was translated into a theatrical play, which has been digitised for view on the VR headsets. (Each session is the same content)
Free but must be booked with the link
